Q Credit is a tribal lending entity wholly owned by the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sicangu Oyate) of the Rosebud Indian Reservation — a federally recognized sovereign nation located within the United States of America — and is operating within the Tribe's Reservation. The Rosebud Indian Reservation was established in 1889 by the United States' partition of the Great Sioux Reservation. The reservation includes all of Todd County, South Dakota, and communities and lands in the four adjacent counties, which had at one time been entirely part of the reservation.
The Tribe oversees the business operations of Q Credit with the intent of providing economic opportunities and stability to the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and its people. While adhering to strict internal regulatory policies, Q Credit also follows all applicable federal consumer protection laws, including: Truth-in-Lending, Equal Credit Opportunity, Electronic Fund Transfer, Fair Credit Reporting, and others.
